Jakarta Creative City

I was so excited when I received an invitation in my mailbox from British Council. I thought this is an unusual event..


I thought, ah another creative event that is worth to be attend to. I didn't know until later on when I saw on television that this event is a collaboration between creative people from UK and Indonesia. It is a 3D project for Kota Tua in Jakarta...aha more reason to come then.

When we got there, the event had already started, but I didn't miss the 3D show, which I think quite spectacular. I like the idea that they showed how Museum Fatahilah used to be and they moved the 3D laser from historical stories of Jakarta to the date now progressively and challenge us how Jakarta could be in the future.

I simply love the multimedia arts projecting on the building, they were full of colors, full of energies and full of ideas. My favorite is the one with batik pattern on it, I always love when people added traditional arts on their work and blend it with futuristic touch.

The idea to revive Jakarta Old City tourism is fantastic. It might not be a new idea, people has already talking about it, but to make it happen, to create something there that makes people really wanna go there is worthy an appreciation.


I will surely looking forward for another project in Kota Tua and hope more people will go there and more people will appreciates those beautiful historical buildings. Anyway..how about you ?
