I have been humming a song this past days I can't seem to escape it. It's an old song from Diana Ross, Do you know where you're going to ? I remember this song was a background soundtrack of one of the coffee TVC I saw on the 1990's. Every song tells a story and that song is about a woman who's facing a troubled future. The lyrics goes :
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to? do you know?
Do you get what you're hoping for?
When you look behind you there's no open door
What are you hoping for?
Do you know?
Once we were standing still in time
Chasing the fantasies that filled our minds
You knew i loved you, but my spirit was free
Laughing at the question that you once ask me
Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to? do you know?
Now, looking back in all we pass
We've let so many dreams just slip through our hands
Why must we wait so long before we see
How sad the answers to those questions can be?
Do you know where you're going to?
Do you like the things that life is showing you?
Where are you going to? do you know?
Do you get what you're hoping for?
When you look behind you there's no open door
What are you hoping for? do you know?

I like the lyrics because of the questions that one point of time in your life you would ask to yourself. Do you really like the things that life is showing you ? Have you ever thought of that ? I look around and count all the blessing I have and felt grateful for them. But still questions will always pops in my head...What are you hoping for ? Do you know ?
I walked through one street in Berlin and saw this graffiti on a giant wall, and thought of how true is this question...
How long is now ? How long are you going to wait ? Why must we wait so long before we see ? Why so many questions has been troubling our head when in the end we know how sad the answers to those questions would be. The best thing to do is stop asking so many questions and just go with your flow. How long is now ? Now is here, today.
"This is your life. Do what you love, and do it often. If you don’t like something, change it. If you don’t like your job, quit. If you don’t have enough time, stop watching TV. If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love. Stop over analyzing, all emotions are beautiful. Life is simple. When you eat, appreciate every last bite. Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself. Some opportunities come only once, seize them. Life is about the people you meet, and the things you create with them so go out and start creating. Life is short. Live your dream and wear your passion." source : thelittledinosaur via kriminalromantic
