Bali Je t'aime

Bali has always been a perfect island for those who needs to getaway. To find solitude in your mind and to recharge your body and soul. My last trip to Bali was somehow unexpected in a way. I didn’t plan to go but when I went, it was just streaming like a flow. I just go wherever the trip was set me to go.
After reading Elizabeth Gilbert novel Eat, Pray, Love my friends and I decided to visit the medicine man Ketut Liyer in Ubud. We want to see the person in real life, so when the movie come out (starring Julia Roberts), we are already experience what has been told in the book. And so we went to Ubud that day. The sky was bright amid all the weather cast that foretell it was going to rain on that day. After having lunch at Bebek Bengil, we drove to his house and finally met him . He actually a very simple happy man. I am not going to write here more about him because you should go there and meet him yourself if you decided to do so. It would be a nice-to-know experience if you asked me...

On the way back home after meeting him, I had been thinking about life around me... that whatever decision you have in your life is better come from your own heart and mind. You can not take action on anything in your life based on other people advised and judgement. It might not be an easy decision and it may cost you a little bit of what you have but in the end you will get to know more about yourself. Although the most difficult part is the process of ‘getting there’ getting what you want...still I think those process will enrich your life. On that process you will realize that your path of life has never been the same with others and by accepting things the way it is... you will gain courage to continue your journey.

A phase from Bhagawad Gita that I quoted from Eat,Pray,Love book quotes "

“It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly then
to live an imitation of somebody else’s life with perfection"

On that trip my day ended after sunset, I was enjoying what life offered me at that moment and while enjoying a cocktail in edgy Rock Bar, I thought….what is life but a dream within a dream..
